Inspired by the Mastodon guitar virtuoso’s ESP Custom Shop creation, this guitar showcases a distinctive double-cutaway body shape finished in a mesmerizing Silver Sunburst that extends seamlessly to the back of the body and neck. White binding on the body, neck, and headstock adds a touch of refinement.
Unique Construction:
The Royal Shiva employs the classic set-neck construction at a 25” scale, uniting a maple-capped mahogany body with a three-piece U-shaped maple neck, meticulously crafted to Bill’s personal specifications. The Macassar ebony fingerboard features large mother-of-pearl block inlays and 22 extra-jumbo frets, providing a luxurious yet functional playing experience.
Pro-Tier Hardware:
Adorned with pro-tier nickel-finished hardware, the Royal Shiva is equipped with a TonePros TOM bridge and tailpiece, ensuring precise intonation and maximum sustain. LTD locking tuners guarantee tuning stability, while a bone nut enhances overall resonance. A multi-ply black pickguard adds a touch of elegance.
Signature Mojotone Hellbender Pickups:
At the heart of the Royal Shiva are Bill’s signature Mojotone Hellbender humbucker pickups, nickel-covered for both durability and aesthetics. Designed to deliver a sonic onslaught, these pickups offer a range from raw and menacing tones to articulate, complex, and open cleans. The bridge and neck pickups can be individually split using push-pull controls on the volume and tone knobs, providing versatility for various playing styles.
