Fender Player Telecaster HH Tidepool Maple Neck Overview

Fender Player Telecaster HH Tidepool Maple Neck

Designed for players the world over who are into classic style and design, versatile and lush sounds, as well as exceptional value for money. The Player Series Telecaster has all the hallmarks of a classic Tele, plenty of bite and sustain, distinctive tonality allowing the player's character to shine through, contemporary and time honoured historical features like the spaghetti logo and Fender designed pickups. As well as performance orientated modern upgrades like gloss fronted/satin backed necks, synthetic bone nuts, and HH versions.

For affordable and time tested tone it doesn't get much better than the Player Series. All Player Series feature modern "C" Profile Necks with a 9.5" Radius, 22 Medium Jumbo Frets, bent steel saddles on the Strats and Teles. All the pickups in the series have been re-designed by Tim Shaw featuring Alnico 5 single coils and Alnico 2 humbuckers. Alnico 2 magnets typically have a rich tone with a mid-range bump and less output, whereas alnico 5 magnets have a higher output, increased bass, and a very clear high-end.

A really good, affordable guitar for all levels of player, just as Leo intended.

Great guitar! Classic but modern Telecaster sound with a bit more output and silent operation thanks to the dual humbuckers. I’ve struggled with everything from ground loops to interference and buzzing when recording guitar. Turns out, all I needed was some humbuckers and all my recording problems have gone away! The split coil makes this a very versatile instrument. It also plays and records better than another guitar I have which costs 4 times as much! Very good indeed :) Classic Fender sound with a modern take on the Telecaster.

This is a great guitar for the money, as I especially like the way it has the traditional control panel and scratch plate to make it look like a telecaster, yet also has the hugely useful belly cut to bring it up top date. The neck is nice but a feature i am not so keen on- I wish they offered it with the option of a 12" radius fingerboard- would make it far better and up to date. The pickups are ok- i wish they'd used alnico 5 magnets as the pickups are not very high output- particularly noticeable on the bridge pick-up- my squier contemporary with its ceramic bridge pickup actually sounded better for high gain applications, which shouldn't be the case at this price point. However, if you like a traditional tele neck, and don't mind altering the pickups to get the sound you're after, this is a good basis guitar for traditional tele fans who like humbuckers.

Wow this guitar for the price is amazing. Not much difference between my American standard stratocaster apart from rolled edges on the fretboard, I would even say it sounds better and also sounds better than my les paul standard which was 3 times the price. Buy one you won't be disappointed.
