As a seasoned guitarist going back to his metal routes with what I thought would just be a cheap bit of fun as my first seven string.. I am very surprised by the quality for 230quid! Neck plays better than guitars more than twice it’s price and the finish is really very nice in the flesh! Much better than expected overall. I’d probably replace the bridge pickup at some point but doesn’t immediately need anything. Just sounds a little dirty, but effects would be able to clear it up if you wanted to keep the costs down. All in all very impressed

Purchased this js32 7 string as I needed a 7 string guitar in my collection. I had used a js22 single cut a few years ago and I was happy enough to trust Jackson guitars due to previous experience to order online without playing the guitar beforehand. First impressions I have to say we're the guitar looks a lot nicer in real life and the pictures on the Gak website didn't do this guitar any justice. Straight out of the box I looked the guitar over and there were no, repeat no flaws in the finish whatsoever. This really surprised me as I had an ibanez iron label that was nearly 4 times the price of this guitar and it had imperfections everywhere. The neck is advertised as 1 piece of maple but there is a scarf joint where the headstock meets the neck so to me I don't class this as a single piece neck. But the neck is very fast and highly playable so not a deal breaker for me. The neck relief out of the box was bang on and the action was great. Measuring 1.5mm at the 12th fret on the high e and 2mm on the low B. Intonation was very close to perfect, intact it was close enough for me to not even bother adjusting. I was a little concerned about the low B sting being a 52 gauge but it feels great on the 26.5 inch scale and even if I lower it into drop A the string feels taught and responsive. Sound from the pickups are really good. I was intending to swap them out but to be honest I'm not going to bother as they can achieve all the tones I want. Overall this is a great Indonesian made guitar that looks, plays and sounds amazing. I own lots of guitars and some are 10 times the price of this guitar but I can honestly say if your not bothered by the price tag or country of origin that your guitar comes from, these are great guitars at amazing prices, regardless of you being a beginner or someone who has played guitar for 20 years like myself.
