The Classic series of two-way active nearfield monitors present a flat-frequency monitoring solution that’s well-built and can be tailored to your both your room and personal taste. There’s a lot to love about the Classic series and at this price, they’re very hard to beat.
This version of KRK’s Classic series boasts an 8" glass aramid woofer (which is individually driven by its own 75 Watt amp) that’s paired with a 1" textile soft dome (which is driven by another 25 Watt amp). Altogether, the tweeter, woofer and amps deliver both an astounding 100 Watts of power and a premium sound at an attainable price.
The KRK Classic 8 packs the biggest sonic punch out of all the models in the series, with the most volume and low-end response on tap. If you’re mixing, producing or engineering bass-heavy music or have a large enough studio space where you can push your monitors to get the most out of them, the Classic 8 is the one we’d recommend. The Classic 8 is deceptively compact considering how powerful it sounds, so it can still be used to great effect within a smaller setup.
