Like our 4-string bass, the 5 string, B7785TX-5 features a solid spruce top with scalloped X-bracing for superior note definition. Its classic, mid depth, cutaway Lyrachord® body delivers balanced acoustic tone and is comfortable to hold and play. Sound holes on the bass-string side of the instrument enhance lower-frequency projection. This bass also features a satin-finished, maple neck which adds brightness that improves overall tone for all types of music and the dark, stained fretboard maintains the edgy appearance of the TX. A full 34” scale delivers harmonically rich timbre across the instrument’s entire range. The 5th string adds extra range that puts you in control of your sound in any key. With its onboard compressor, both the OP-Pro preamp and the OCP-1K pickup provide control over the attack and sustain of every note. Case not included.
