Seymour Duncan Blackout AHB-3 Mick Thomson EMTY Set
Up until 2008 Mick has used EMG Active Pickups (81, 85) but as of 2008 he began using Seymour Duncan Blackout Active Humbuckers.
The Seymour Duncan AHB-3 Mick Thomson ia 9-volt active humbucker designed for aggressive playing styles. Recommended for all metal and heavy rock styles, including extreme low tunings.
Seymour Duncan Blackouts represent the pinnacle in active pickup technology, and Mick Thomson agrees. In his relentless quest for the ultimate tone, Mick asked for even tighter bottom, and more searing top end cut, and Seymour Duncan delivered with the EMTY, a pulverizing addition to their Blackouts line.
AHB-3 Blackouts are available as Mick's two-humbucker set, or in individual neck and bridge models to mix and match with other Blackouts and Livewires Classic II active pickups. All versions come with all necessary mounting hardware, including pots, jack, and a battery clip.
The AHB-3 is designed for all humbucker guitars. The blade magnets make this pickup suitable for both humbucker and Trembucker spacings.
Black casing with signature 'SEVEN' on the side.
Comes with silver screws to attach pickups would be better if they were black
