Taylor 618e Grand Orchestra Electro Acoustic, V-Class Overview
Introducing the Taylor 618e, newly revoiced with V-Class bracing, Taylor’s biggest, deepest body shape now unleashes a more commanding voice than ever. The V-Class framework harnesses the Grand Orchestra’s huge air capacity to produce a sound that’s deep and powerful, yet with incredible touch sensitivity and impeccable intonation. Players who crave a big, wall-of-sound acoustic tone and like to tune down will love this guitar. Choose from two models: the maple/spruce 618e and the rosewood/spruce 818e. Standard specs include a 25-1⁄2” scale length and 1-3⁄4” nut width.
The 618 also features a new appointment package: a Mission inlay pattern in mother-of-pearl and grained ivoroid, koa fretboard/peghead purfling, maple binding with koa/ivoroid top purfling, a paua rosette with koa/ivoroid purfling, Taylor nickel tuners, and an Antique Blonde colour treatment for the body and neck, gloss-finish body, and ES2 electronics. Each guitar ships in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case with a beautifully textured Western Floral pattern.
The 618e features back and sides of solid figured Big Leaf maple, a solid Sitka spruce top, a maple neck, and an ebony pickguard. Maple’s sonic transparency allows the expressive nuances of the individual player to come through.
