Vintage VE2000GG Gordon Giltrap Electro Acoustic, Natural Overview
Designed by Gordon himself with Rob Armstrong, one of the UK’s longstanding acoustic guitar luthiers, the VE2000GG is in keeping with Gordon’s request for a lightweight, extremely vibrant guitar. High quality Mahogany is the selected tonewood for the body and hand-picked, tight grained North American red cedar for the soundboard. This superb tonewood combination has been specifically selected by this very popular UK guitar virtuoso to project and separate fast note runs and intricate chord structures, a speciality and part of Gordon’s unique playing style.
Tone transfer from strings to body is exceptional due to an Ebony bridge with a compensated GraphTech® NuBone saddle, and the reliability and material consistency of NuBone is repeated with a GraphTech® top nut, which when coupled with gold Grover® 102 machine heads ensures that smooth and stable tuning is constant.
A great acoustic sound is standard with this guitar - a warm, tight, and rich bass underpins a bright powerful midrange and sweet highs - all with exceptional clarity, and this excellent tone and timbre can also be easily amplified without loss of quality by way of the Fishman® Fishman Sonicore pickup.
