Boss GK-5 Electric Guitar Divided Pickup Overview
The Boss GK-5 Electric Guitar Divided Pickup is a cutting-edge pickup that’s easy to install and allows you guitar to interface with Serial GK-equipped guitar synths such as the GM-800.
The Boss GK-5 guitar pickup has been specifically developed for seamless integration with the Serial GK digital interface. This innovative interface is a crucial part of the latest Boss guitar synthesizers, including the GM-800. As well as providing enhanced performance compared to the previous analogue 13-pin interface, the GK-5 pickup is user-installable and doesn’t require any permanent modifications to your guitar.
In addition to the GK-5 pickup, you’ll need a BGK series digital cable such as the BGK-15 or the BGK-30 to connect it to your Serial GK guitar synth.
We’ve put together the Boss GM-800 Synth Pedal Guitar Bundle as an all-in-one solution for guitarists who want to get into guitar synthesizers. It includes everything you need to get your electric guitar working with the GM-800 guitar synth, including the GK-5 pickup and a BGK-30 cable.
Please note: The GK-5 is optimised for the electric guitar. If you’re a bassist, you’ll need the GK-5B bass guitar pickup.
