ESP LTD Mirage Deluxe '87, Rainbow Crackle
This model is part of the Limited ‘87 Series which faithfully recreate ESP’s instruments from 1987, packing vintage features and looks to create a guitar that sounds and looks good.
This model has an Alder body with a 3-piece maple neck with a thin ‘U’ profile making it comfortable to play, topped with 24 extra-jumbo frets on a Macassar Ebony fretboard. It also features LTD tuners and a Floyd Rose 1000 locking tremolo bridge.
This model has a Seymour Duncan Hot Rail pickup, which has a high output with lots of midrange harmonics and an aggressive crunch, and a Seymour Duncan Distortion pickup at the bridge, which delivers tight and mean lows with a searing top end.
To complete the look is black hardware and a striking Rainbow Crackle finish.
While ESP first got started in 1975 as a small repair shop in Tokyo, it was really toward the mid ‘80s when our guitars and basses grabbed the attention of players around the world. The LTD ’87 Series are faithful recreations of this set of instruments from ESP’s 1987 catalog. Based on the original ESP Mirage body shape, the LTD Mirage Deluxe '87 is a bolt-on shred machine with an alder body and three-piece extra thin U-shaped maple neck being made available in Pearl Pink and Turquoise finishes. These guitars feature a Floyd Rose 1000 bridge and a pickup set that includes a Seymour Duncan Distortion TB-6 (with original style bobbins and a push-pull control to split the coils) in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan Hot Rail single coil in the neck position.
