Kingfish Signature Model

The Fender Kingfish Telecaster Deluxe is a collaboration between the heritage US guitar builder and one of the top Blues players on the scene. Since becoming enamoured with the Blues a child, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram has gone from child prodigy to a truly renowned guitarist, singer and songwriter. Word would quickly spread around Ingram’s local area thanks to his raw, emotive playing, leading B.B. King’s drummer Tony Coleman to proclaim that Ingram was playing the Blues the way it was supposed to be. Eventually, Ingram’s talent transcended Mississippi and would culminate in him becoming one of the most revered Blues musicians of today.

Classic Tone & Playability

The core of this signature Telecaster Deluxe is a classic Alder body that delivers a balanced, clear natural tone. Joining the solid Alder body is a Roasted Maple neck that’s been carved to an inviting soft “V” profile. This slightly old-school feeling neck profile is great for players with a thumb-over left-hand technique. Thanks to the roasting process, this Maple neck is more stable and resistant to changes in temperature. The back of the neck features a Satin Urethane finish for that buttery-smooth, played-in feel. Topping the Maple neck is a slab Rosewood fretboard and 21 Medium Jumbo frets. The Kingfish Telecaster Deluxe’s fretboard has a flatter 12" radius that players with bend-heavy styles will adore.

Custom Humbucking Pickups

Fender equipped the Kingfish Telecaster Deluxe signature guitar with a pair of custom humbuckers. These pickups have been voiced alongside Christone “Kingfish” Ingram himself and can cover articulate chording, singing lead lines and more with ease. When it comes to growly, overdriven Blues these pickups truly excel. The Telecaster Deluxe control scheme presents an extra level of flexibility, allowing you to dial in the volume and tone for each pickup individually. A robust Adjusto-Matic bridge ensures rock-solid tuning stability and spot-on intonation, whether you’re playing on stage or practising at home.

Unique Mississippi Night Finish

The Kingfish Telecaster has a distinctive look that’s all its own, boasting an alluring Mississippi Night finish that resembles a dark winter sky in Clarksdale. Other special appointments include a custom neck plate, a “K” crown logo on the pickup covers and Kingfish’s signature on the headstock.
