In my opinion the design of this particular Hercules stand is not good. The stand I received was faulty on arrival. The joints at the bottom of the stand were bent, which prevented the stand legs from opening out correctly. If you like Hercules stands then do yourself a favour and get one of the other Hercules stands that do not use the same mechanism for the legs.
