Hofner HCT-SH Shorty Electric Travel, Blue Overview

The Hofner Shorty was first produced back in the 1980s, and this contemporary version continues that line, bringing it up to date in the 21st centuary. The Hofner Shorty offers full scale length combined with small overall dimensions. You can take it anywhere - it is the perfect practice companion, or a worthy partner while on the road.

Founded in 1864, Hofner's comprehensive range of guitars draws on the firms long-standing success making precision string instruments for musicians. The Beatles' Sir Paul McCartney played a Hofner Violin Bass, and the company's superb attention to detail and stylish design has continued to inspire both rock and jazz musicians to this day. Despite the numerous changes over 125 years the company is still strongly a family firm with strong values for customers, and for high quality, musical instruments.

Very compact, stays mostly in tune, a little buzzy

Absolutely love my electric guitar the colour is lovely the quality is amazing all works as it should. Strings are good quality the volume and and tone caps I thought was plastic from the picture but they are actually metal so very nice look and quality, sounds amazing on an amp, would reccomend.

Not a bad guitar for the price! Tuning machines on mine are pretty rough and even after tweaking struggle to do the job. I will get my local guitar tech to replace them when I eventually get round to having a setup done. Otherwise I really like it plays well, action a bit high and the humbucker is a bit clanky but a bit if a roll down on the tone pot does the job.

Fun Shape . Big Sound for a budget price . Comes with case and lead . Good for Rock/Jazz/blues . Simple design . Exactly what I was looking for . Hofner HCT-SC is a great travel guitar . Compact and neat.
