The Dreadbox Kinematic is a versatile effects pedal designed for electric guitars and synths, serving as a VCA compressor and envelope filter. Notably, it also offers eurorack patch compatibility, expanding its functionality.

Equipped with filter, drive, envelope, and level controls, as well as a toggle switch to select the desired mode (compressor or envelope filter), the Dreadbox Kinematic provides a range of options for sound shaping.

In Filter mode, the filter knob acts as a cutoff control for the low-pass filter, while the envelope control shapes the envelope curve.

Switching to Compression mode, the filter knob functions as an emphasis control, boosting the frequency band to be compressed. The envelope control, in this mode, adjusts the extreme compression ratio.

Furthermore, the Kinematic pedal can integrate with Eurorack synthesizers, allowing for CV (control voltage) control of the filter and level parameters. The EG out (envelope generator output) can also be utilized to synchronize the pedal with the rest of the synthesizer, enabling dynamic control across the entire setup.
