The Strat Plus Series, introduced by Fender in 1987, represented the pinnacle of production models, rivaled only by Fender’s Custom Shop guitars. Notably, these guitars featured a chrome Fender logo on the headstock and retained all original parts, including Red/Silver/Blue Lace Sensor pickups, original 1991 Schaller locking tuners, and a Wilkinson nut, enhancing sustain.
