Universal Audio Apollo Twin X Heritage Edition Thunderbolt 3 Audio Interface, DUO Overview
The Universal Audio Apollo Twin X Thunderbolt 3 is a desktop 10x6 audio interface, with two Unison-enabled preamps which let you mimic Neve, Helios, API, Manley, UA preamp characteristics.
In addition to the two preamps, there are front-panel Hi-Z instrument inputs so you can connect your guitar or bass directly, two line outs, onboard monitor controls, a built-in talkback function, which allows easy communication, a headphone out, an ADAR/SPDIF input, and dedicated monitor remote controls.
The Universal Audio Apollo Twin X Thunderbolt 3 includes the Realtime Analog Classic suite which gives you sounds from guitar and bass amps such as Marshall Plexi Guitar Amp, Ampeg SVT-VR, and more.
The DUO Core Processor delivers 127 dB of dynamic range with almost zero latency. Users of the Apollo Twin X can combine up to four Thunderbolt Apollos and six total UAD-2 devices - so you can add I/O and DSP as your studio gets bigger.

Quad-Core has more DSP chips - each plugin requires a certain amount of DSP chips in order to run, so with more chips, the plugins run faster!
