Marshall 1979 JMP '1959' Super Lead MK II, 100W, Second-Hand
Marshall 1979 JMP '1959' Super Lead MK II, 100W, Second-Hand Overview by GAK.
The Marshall JMP Super Lead MK II "Rocker Switch" Model came to life at the end of 78 due to criticism from some players about the previous 76 'Master Volume' model. Marshall removed the master volume from this model in late 78 and renamed it the "Super Lead" which they then produced for a further 2 years before reverting back to the master model and introducing the JCM800. The 100 Watt EL34 power stage delivers incredible tone which will cut through in any mix and still have plenty of headroom for more if needed, to say these are loud is an understatement. These models are fairly rare due to the limited production and are regarded as the "Rocker Switch" model made famous by bands such as AC/DC renowned for their aggressive tone.
Good condition, serial number: SL/A01004L
